The 48 - Film Competition

The 48 is a recurring 48-hour film festival open to any filmmaker located within the Okanagan. The premise is simple, OSIF provides filmmakers with a Genre, Prop, and Line of Dialogue, then filmmakers have 48 hours (often Friday-Sunday) to complete their 1 to 3-minute film.

How to Submit

To submit, email us before the deadline with a link to your rendered 1-3 minute short film to enterthe48@osif.org.

We recommend exporting using the codecs H.264, H.265/HVEC or ProRes (422 Proxy is fine) or by using the Youtube export option available in your video editing suite. Please export no smaller than 1080p/2k, 2160p/4k preferred.

We recommend uploading the file through Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive or WeTransfer but do not post your film on Facebook, Youtube, Vimeo or Instagram and send us a link, we need the original copy.
